Bill Milling

Bill Milling is an Emmy Award®-winning producer, writer, and director with a career spanning decades in film, television, and international production. He is best known as the producer of the NBC series Unicorn Tales, which earned 18 Emmy Awards®. And the prestigious Action For Children’s Television Award®.

As a writer and director, Bill has written over twenty feature films, showcasing his versatility and skill across various genres. His work as a New York production executive/production supervisor has seen him play a pivotal role in some of Hollywood’s major motion pictures, including The Mortal Instruments, Lucky Number Slevin, The Third Miracle, Senseless, 54, and The Late Shift. His vast knowledge and hands-on experience in film production have made him a trusted figure in the industry.

Bill’s production expertise extends to television, where he has produced content for some of the most iconic TV series of the past few decades. He has worked with top networks and studios on shows such as 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, CSI: NY, Dexter, The West Wing, Mad About You, Friends, Will & Grace, Everybody Loves Raymond, Conviction, The X-Files, How I Met Your Mother, Smallville, and Without A Trace, contributing to the development and success of these groundbreaking series.

A seasoned leader, Bill served as the president of Sigmax, Inc., a Japanese-American film and TV production/distribution company. In this role, he was instrumental in remaking major Japanese motion pictures in the US, overseeing the translation into English and Spanish into English, and managing the creation, marketing, and distribution of hundreds of hours of Japanese animation dubbed into English and Spanish. 

His expertise in international distribution has helped bring diverse content to International audiences, creating a bridge between cultures.

Bill’s directorial accomplishments also extend to working with an impressive roster of star performers, including James Earl Jones, Dick Van Patten, Raven-Symoné, Charlton Heston, Priscilla Barnes, Erik Estrada, Paul Smith, Michael Parks, and James Hong, among others. His ability to direct top-tier talent has contributed to his reputation as a versatile and respected director.

An adventurer at heart, Bill’s extensive documentary work spans over 96 countries. He contributed to the Greek segment of the IMAX feature The Living Planet and co-directed and co-cameraman for the groundbreaking CNN documentary Beneath The Southern Ocean—the FIBEX (First International Biomass Expedition into The Antarctic). His documentaries have explored some of the world’s most remote and fascinating places, further cementing his reputation as a passionate storyteller and documentarian.
