The Robotic Rise & Fall prompter paddles are lowered out of sight when the speaker approaches the podium (TV camera wide shot). So, he/she appears to be working with no prompter. Then in the close up shot at the podium, the paddles rise silently out of camera frame. The reverse is true as he/she walks off.
The robotic prompters can be preset for a variety of optimal reading heights for multiple speakers. As each new speaker gets to the podium, the paddles rise to his/her perfect height.
The monitors are of very high quality and high brightness. This does two important things: First, it helps overcome bright stage lights, and second, it’s much easier to read. Thus, the chance of the speaker squinting to read washed-out type is eliminated.
